Client-Therapist Policies

All information on the client intake form is correct and up-to-date. I, the client, take it upon myself to update this pertinent information regarding my health and wellbeing as needed.

I understand the therapist is not a physician and cannot diagnose, treat, or prescribe for an illness, ailment, or disease, but can assess and assist with the relief/release of physical and emotional symptoms I may possess using massage therapy.

Our massages together will focus on any multitude of health and wellness symptoms (including, but not limited to pain management, stress relief, emotional release, energetic balance, etc.) but is not intended to be a substitute for medical treatments or examinations prescribed by a physician.

Massage therapy is a physical, somatic practice involving inherently close contact and intimate boundaries and I fully understand our sessions are non-sexual and that any misconduct or inappropriate behavior will result in the immediate end to our massage with full payment due.

I am aware that I shall never receive a massage while impaired by drugs or alcohol. It is recommended the client arrives with an empty stomach, or hasn’t eaten a meal within an hour of our massage. Also, it is appreciated if the client arrives showered or bathed.

I am aware that I am always in control of my body during a massage session and can comment on the quality of touch (pressure, comfort, etc.) and can “stop” the massage at any time.

If I am going to be late for an appointment, I will let the therapist know as soon as possible and understand it may result in a shortened massage as a result.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance of the scheduled appointment. 1st cancellation within 24 hours will result in a 50% charge for the scheduled massage. Any further cancellations within 24 hours of our scheduled appointment will result in a full 100% charge for the scheduled massage. No exceptions.

Payment shall take place immediately after our massage session by cash, check, or credit card. A receipt will be made available upon request. If a payment is denied or returned, client agrees to pay a $20 service fee, as well as any additional fines the therapist may incur.
